A fund linked to Donald Trump Jr., 1789 Capital, will reportedly lead a $1 billion investment round in prediction platform Polymarket. The reported transaction would value Polymarket at $21 billion, below Kalshi’s stated $22 billion valuation.
The SEC charged former Pacific Private Money Group executives Mark D. Hanf and Hoai-Nam Chu Phan over an alleged offering fraud that raised more than $80 million from about 190 investors. The complaint alleges new capital funded earlier payments and that more than $7 million was misappropriated; the allegations remain subject to court proceedings.
