LeveX has launched Social Copy Trading, enabling users to convert futures trades shared on its social Feed into ready-to-place orders. The feature went live on the web platform on September 23 and arrived on iOS and Android via app version 4.4.0 on September 29. When a trader posts a position, others can use a Quick Copy Trade button to open the same trade in seconds, adjusting leverage and size before confirmation.
Each copied position belongs to the individual trader, utilizing their own margin and risk settings, with orders filling at current market prices rather than the original entry price. CEO Harvey Liu stated the tool closes the gap between observing ideas and acting on them while keeping decision-making with the user. The update also includes Chase Order functionality and candlestick charts on the Trade page, supporting LeveX’s existing perpetual futures infrastructure.
The introduction of one-tap execution for social feeds represents a significant shift in how retail crypto traders interact with community-generated signals. By embedding direct order placement capabilities within the social layer, LeveX reduces friction between observation and action, potentially increasing volume through simplified access to complex derivatives strategies. This integration suggests a move toward more interactive, gamified trading environments where social proof directly influences market activity.
From an operational risk perspective, the distinction that copied positions fill at current market prices rather than the original trader's entry point is critical for user comprehension. While this ensures transparency regarding execution costs, it introduces slippage risks that may diverge from the performance metrics displayed on the source trade card. Institutional observers should note that such features require robust disclosure mechanisms to ensure users understand that past performance of a shared trade does not guarantee identical outcomes for copied entries.
