WisdomTree and MoonPay announced a partnership on Thursday to expand US investor access to the WisdomTree Treasury Money Market Digital Fund (WTGXX), a tokenized money market mutual fund designed to maintain a $1 share price. The collaboration leverages MoonPay’s technology to create an access point for WTGXX, granting WisdomTree entry to MoonPay’s network of more than 35 million accounts. Additionally, MoonPay plans to integrate WTGXX into its stablecoin reserve management stack, supporting its enterprise stablecoin business launched in November 2025.
The arrangement highlights growing institutional interest in tokenized assets, with the broader tokenized US Treasury market valued at approximately $15.4 billion as of Thursday. WTGXX currently accounts for about $1.23 billion of this total and has recorded net flows of $466 million over the past 30 days, according to RWA.xyz data. This performance contrasts with other funds like Ondo U.S. Dollar Yield (USDY), which saw positive net flows of $66 million during the same period. WisdomTree, managing roughly $176.7 billion in assets, indicated that the collaboration could extend to additional tokenized funds and international markets.
This partnership signifies a strategic convergence between traditional asset management and crypto-native infrastructure, aiming to streamline the distribution of regulated financial products through digital rails. By integrating a tokenized Treasury fund into MoonPay’s existing fiat-to-digital asset infrastructure, WisdomTree effectively lowers barriers to entry for retail and institutional users already active in the crypto ecosystem. The move underscores the increasing utility of tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) not just as investment vehicles, but as functional components within broader financial stacks, such as stablecoin reserve management.
From a market structure perspective, the significant net inflows into WTGXX relative to competitors suggest strong demand for yield-bearing, dollar-denominated digital assets backed by high-quality liquid instruments. However, the reliance on a single technology partner for distribution introduces operational dependencies that both firms must manage carefully. As the tokenized Treasury sector matures, the ability to scale these integrations across multiple blockchains and jurisdictions will be critical for sustaining growth and maintaining regulatory compliance in evolving global markets.
