Bitcoin has rebounded to $82,295, up 1.28% in the last 24 hours, following a Thursday decline that pushed its price below $80,000 for the first time in over a month. The broader crypto market also saw gains, with Ethereum rising 4.17% to $2,473.17, Solana increasing by 3.02%, and XRP adding 2.03%. Zcash emerged as the strongest performer among the top 15 coins, jumping 10.29% to $1,222.02, which lifted its market capitalization to $20.67 billion and nearly erased the losses sustained on Thursday.

The previous day's drop triggered $948 million in liquidations, with 90.6% of those positions being long bets on rising prices. Technical analysis indicates Bitcoin is currently testing resistance at $81,603, a level derived from recent trading ranges. The asset briefly dipped under this threshold and the 50-day exponential moving average (EMA), now positioned at $80,407, during Thursday's volatility. Despite these short-term pressures, the long-term trend remains bullish as the 50-day EMA sits above the 200-day EMA, which is located at $75,759, approximately 8% below the current price.

Momentum indicators show mixed signals. The Average Directional Index (ADX) reads 25.5, barely confirming a trend, while sellers lead buyers in directional movement. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 48.9, indicating neutral momentum with a slight lean toward selling pressure. On prediction markets, traders have adjusted their expectations, lowering the odds of Bitcoin reaching $87,500 in October to 31% from 45% earlier in the week, while assigning a 43% probability to a drop to $77,500.
